Meh. Just do it again.

And again and again until I get it.

If anything, it helps you develop as a driver. I know if it weren't for rivals I wouldn't have put in as many laps around any track as I have.

The load times are annoying. But meh, we all gotta go through it. Still, at least he's "slowly" improving his times. Not like he came out of the gate at 1:17 and put it completely out of reach.

If he started at 1:21 and made his way down, you can too.

Marm... I agree with you for most of the circuit rivals.... But this one and the way you have to restart over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again is more frustrating than the amount of times I pasted "over and over" over and over, as well as the Montoya rival... As a matter of fact.. At this point, I'd rather drive a stock ZR-1 on Fujimi with simulated rain at night for 10 laps....

I certainly share your frustration over the restart. If you know you're behind how 'bout you quit and do a restart? Takes a little less time. I know I was doing it after I pooched the first turn. Mess up after that and I just screw around trying to find another line. Some work, some don't. And then there's the inconsistency of missing my new line, etc etc.

And I didn't hit the wall (not literally ... at that time) so restarting over and over didn't happen as often.

It's funny what incentives will do for you.

If this was just some special livery, meh. I'd have given up. Don't really care what unicorn it is they're offering (well, I won't try for the 360 as I now have 2). But it's enough to motivate me to try. And when you go off you just quit? Don't try to see where else you can improve? (This is where ghosts come in handy - just stay behind and see where you are making time and losing time?)

It all depends on how long I've been at it....

But alas! IF I finish the July tunes, my July Liveries (for all 3 b-class cars), practice on all 3 known July tracks, the Case contest summer liver, the additional police liveries, the S-Class tune for my 2nd 360CS, and a few other misc things, I may try again... But it's at the bottom of my list! Wink

They need to change how they do the official Turn 10 challenges... Then need to secretly set a time on the monthly rival, and then announce the time to beat and the time in which you have to beat it.

Some of us (like me) that have less time to do rival and even less skill to beat the fast times could opt out! Wink

It seems the T10 rivals really go all out and tend to only have a few hundred people win, that doesn't seem right...especially when they improve their times by this much nearing the end of it.

IMO the bounty should not be the best you can do. There have been a number of bounties that have posted a competitive time but not the best they can do, I respect that, make me work for it but not over the top. To me this is a guy who put down the best time he could, how proud he must be, lol.

Really glad I didn't put in a Montoya effort. When I started, I needed about 3 tenths on my best time. Now it's 3 sec. That's WAY beyond my ability (hell, I couldn't even find the 3 bloody 10ths Laughing

). But this just reveals a hidden perk to being in a cool car club: I can rejoice in vicariously beating crazy times through excellent drivers like Frank, Mark and Chaos Very Happy

There was nothing I could have done to beat this. My lines weren't perfect but it is nearly impossible to keep that car on the correct line throughout the entire lap...

Did anybody notice that there was a part on the exit of chicago that randomly swung the back end of the viper out if you hit it? It happened multiple times to me...
